On Growing Ideas...
The most exciting work I've done involves creating new programs that have a tangible impact on the lives or work of others. Education is a terrific field to feed that interest! Below are a few examples of projects I've been fortunate to develop with teams of excellent instructors. They range from short term job training programs, to professional development seminars, to personal enrichment classes, all geared to either recruiting older adults to the classroom or developing programs to serve older adults.
Eldercare Specialist
Eldercare Specialist is a short-term job training program for entry-level work in nonmedical home care or assisted living settings.
Certified Nursing Assistant
Nursing Assistant is a high demand entry-level health care career students can complete in less than one semester.
Professional Development
The Mind Alert Workshop is a one-day professional development seminar for social workers, nurses or anyone else working in a community-based program for seniors concerned about preventing dementia.
Personal Enrichment
We offer a variety of personal enrichment courses that appeal to a wide variety of students, especially middle-aged to older adults.
